The Challenge
A New York State county had a threefold challenge to meet: the need to provide county personnel with the IT tools and processes required to run larger government operation, rising personnel costs related to increasing salaries and pensions and simultaneous requirements to lower the tax burden.
Entre's Solution
First, we sat with various department heads to determine departmental requirements and uses of IT. Second, we conducted an audit and documented the current state of IT with the county. From these two elements a plan was shaped to insulate and protect areas such as police and emergency services, provide flexibility and improved services to the majority of constituents and present just the right amount of strategic and management services to keep everything moving smoothly. Each of these areas were augmented with Entre’s RMS (Remote Managed Services) services and Help Desk.
